Halifax airport prepares for Hurricane Earl

3 SEPTEMBER 2010: Halifax International Airport Authority is advising travellers that Hurricane Earl may impact airline and airport operations this weekend. Travellers are reminded to check with their airline for up-to-date information and flight schedule changes. A travel advisory on www.flyhalifax.com will be updated throughout the long weekend and Halifax Stanfield's Facebook and Twitter accounts will also be updated as necessary. A ROYAL OCCASION:  The Queen will name her namesake  

3 SEPT 2010: Her Majesty The Queen will name Cunard’s new Queen Elizabeth at a ceremony to take place in Southampton, England on 11 October. This will be the third Cunard ship to bear the name Queen Elizabeth.

“The naming of a Cunard Queen is a very special occasion and this will be an historic event in the true sense of the word,” said Peter Shanks, president of Cunard Line.
